Food photography and video that makes people hungry, honestly.
Menu photography, Reels and venue shoots done by our own in-house team, planned around the places diners look: your Google profile, your website, social media, delivery apps and ads.
What is food photography and video for restaurants?
It means menu photos, short reels and venue shots made to be used on your Google profile, website and social accounts, so guests see accurate, appetising images wherever they look. Our in-house team plans, shoots and edits it, and we keep a consistent look across every place diners find you.
Why photos and video matter for restaurants
Before most diners read a menu, they look at pictures. They scroll the photos on your Google profile, glance at your Instagram, open your website and check how the food appears on a delivery app. Each of those places is a small decision: does this look like somewhere I want to eat?
Photos and video do three jobs. They earn the click, because a bright, honest picture is what makes someone open your profile or website. They answer the question, because a diner who can see the room, the plating and the portion size does not need to guess. And they build trust, because current, real images tell people the restaurant is open, active and cared for.
Photography does not replace a good menu, good service or a complete Google Business Profile. It makes everything else easier to believe. We shoot with that in mind, and we plan the images around where they will be used.
A good photo is a promise. The plate that arrives at the table has to keep it.
What we shoot
One in-house team, shooting for every place a diner looks.
Menu and dish photography
Your signature dishes, drinks and desserts, photographed from the angles that suit them, in natural or controlled light. These become your profile photos, your website menu images and the base of your social content. Read our guide to menu photography that sells.
Interior and exterior
The entrance, the room, the bar, the patio and the details that make you recognisable. Diners want to know what the place feels like and how to find the door.
Team and kitchen
The people who make the food, at work. We ask for permission first and keep to people who are comfortable on camera.
Short-form video and Reels
The pour, the sizzle, the finishing touch, the line of plates on the pass. Vertical clips of a few seconds to under a minute, edited for the platform and readable with the sound off.
Website imagery
Hero images, menu pages and about sections that load quickly on a phone. See our restaurant website design.
Delivery-app images
Dish photos prepared to the size and style each ordering platform asks for, so your listing looks as careful as the restaurant.
Seasonal and event content
New menus, festival nights, holiday specials and launches, captured when they happen so the content stays current.
Monthly content shoots
For restaurants on our social media marketing plan, one planned visit can feed weeks of posts.
How a shoot day runs
A planned day that gets the right images, not just a lot of them.
Plan the shot list from the ecosystem
Before we arrive we look at your menu, your Google profile, your website and your social accounts, and decide what is missing. A dish with no photo, an empty gallery, a website with stock images: those become the list, in priority order.
Agree timing and logistics
We pick a window that fits service, confirm which dishes the kitchen will prepare, and agree who is happy to be on camera. You tell us about any space or time limits.
Shoot with our in-house team
Our own photographers and videographers work on site with their own lighting. We shoot the dishes first while they are at their best, then the room, then the team and the video.
Style honestly
We adjust the plate, the garnish, the angle and the light. We do not use fake ingredients, inedible props or portions larger than what you serve.
Edit and deliver quickly
We agree the delivery timing before the shoot. Colour is kept true to the food and files are sorted and named so they are easy to use.
One shoot, used everywhere
The same images work harder when they are planned for every channel.
| Where it appears | What diners see | How we use the shoot |
|---|---|---|
| Google Business Profile | Photos on Maps and in search results. | Fresh images by category (food, interior, exterior, team), uploaded regularly. See profile optimization. |
| Website | Menu, hero and booking pages. | Compressed, accurate images beside the matching dishes. See website design. |
| Social media | Posts, Stories and Reels. | Clips and photos cut for each platform. See social media marketing. |
| Paid ads | Offers and events. | The strongest footage becomes ad creative, so you pay to promote what is real. See paid ads for restaurants. |
| Email and print | Newsletters, menus, posters. | Higher resolution versions of the same shots. |
Standards, preparation and deliverables
Our rules
- Real food only. What is in the photo is what a guest receives.
- No deceptive styling. We make food look appealing, not different.
- Permission for people. Staff and guests are featured only with their consent.
- No children without specific consent. We do not feature children unless a parent or guardian has given it specifically.
- Usage is agreed up front. We confirm in writing how you can use the images before the shoot.
- Month-to-month. Shoots can sit inside a monthly plan, with no long-term contracts.
What to prepare, and what you receive
Prepare: a list of the dishes you most want to be known for, a clean and tidy room, uniforms or aprons you are happy to show, and one person who can approve choices on the day.
You receive: edited photographs of each agreed dish and space, short videos formatted for Reels and other channels, images resized for your website and delivery apps, and files organised in folders by use.
If you are not sure what is missing, our free visibility check shows what diners find today, and the restaurant marketing audit turns that into a shot list.
Choosing a restaurant photographer
What to ask any food photographer
- Do you plan the shoot around where the images will be used?
- Is the food real and edible, with honest styling?
- Who owns the files, and can I use them on ads and delivery apps?
- Will you cut video for Reels, or only deliver stills?
- Do you ask permission before featuring my staff or guests?

Questions, answered.
Ours covers menu and dish photography, interior and exterior shots, your team at work (with their permission), short-form video and Reels, and images sized for your Google profile, website, delivery apps and social channels. We plan the shot list from your menu and your goals before we arrive, so the day is spent on the images you will actually use.
Yes. We are based in Metro Vancouver and shoot at restaurants, cafes, bakeries and lounges across Vancouver, Surrey and the surrounding cities. Shooting on site means the photos show your real room, your real plating and your real light.
Diners often judge a restaurant by its pictures before they read a word. Your Google profile, your website, your delivery listings and your social posts all lean on photos, and blurry, dark or outdated images make a good restaurant look closed or careless. Good photography is not a guarantee of more bookings, but it removes a common reason for people to choose somewhere else.
It depends on the number of dishes, how much video you want, the size of the venue and how often you need fresh content. We quote after a short conversation about your goals, and photography can also be part of a monthly social media plan. Engagements are month-to-month, so there is no long-term commitment.
Most shoots fit around service rather than replacing it. We usually photograph dishes in a quiet window, then capture the room and the team when they are working. We plan the timing with you beforehand, based on your menu and your layout, so there are no surprises.
Real food, plated by your kitchen. We help with placement, props and lighting so a dish looks as good as it tastes, but we do not use inedible tricks, fake ingredients or portions that are bigger than what a guest receives. If a photo would make a guest feel misled when the plate arrives, we do not use it.
You do. The images and edited videos are made for your restaurant, and you receive the files to use on your profile, website, social channels, delivery apps, print and ads. Usage rights are agreed in writing before the shoot.
Only with permission. We ask your team before we feature them, and we ask for consent before showing any guest. We do not feature children without specific consent, and we will leave anyone out of the shot who prefers not to be in it.
We upload the best images to your Google Business Profile in the categories diners look at, place dish photos beside the matching menu items on your website, and use video for Reels and ads. One shoot feeds all of them, which is why we plan the shot list around the whole ecosystem instead of one channel.
Yes. Short video is part of most shoots. We plan Reels around moments that make people hungry and keep them short, honest and easy to watch with the sound off. See our restaurant Reels ideas for formats we use.
